DICHIARAZIONE D'ARTISTA
In particolare quella contemporanea, materica, gestuale.
I titoli funzionano come ancore: tengono insieme visioni, deviazioni, ritorni. E in quel mezzo, ogni volta, accade qualcosa.

ARTIST STATEMENT
A background in graphic design, shaped by composition, typography, and visual hierarchy, laid the foundation. The discipline of graphic work — measured, structured, precise — sharpened both eye and hand. Yet from the beginning, the driving force has been elsewhere: in art. Particularly in the gestural and material energies of contemporary movements — from action painting to asemic writing — where the mark becomes presence rather than message.
The practice began with formal calligraphy: studied, internalized, repeated. Over time, the need to break form emerged. Letters were stripped of meaning; the sign began to assert itself independently. From legibility to pure gesture, the shift was not aesthetic, but existential. The writing no longer seeks to be read — it seeks to be seen, to be felt. Paper remains the primary medium — a living, responsive surface. Each work grows from a period of concentration: reading, silence, observation. The act itself is direct, but never casual. Monotype, cyanotype, collage, linocut, serigraphy, and layered interventions compose a mixed-media language where design meets intuition, and planning coexists with accident.
Series remain open. Each title acts as an anchor — a conceptual nucleus that can be revisited and expanded across years. Nothing is ever fully closed; everything remains available to transformation.
In a world marked by fragmentation, distraction, and violence, the mark becomes a form of resistance. It does not illustrate or decorate — it holds. The work doesn’t separate art from life, nor gesture from thought. It stands in between. And in that in-between, something always happens.
